10 Things I’ve Learnt In My Early 30’s

This week I turned 33! I’m starting to feel old at times now but I don’t see it as a bad thing. I feel older but I also feel wiser and happier than I’ve ever been. Last year I wrote a 32 Things I’ve Learnt In 32 Years post so this year I’ve decided to reflect on the 10 things I’ve learnt in my early 30’s instead. I may struggle to come up with 10 things but I’ll give it a go! One – Life is short. 33 years has passed so quickly. 2019 literally flew by, I have no idea where it went. One minute it was January, then…

Starting A Bullet Journal – What It Is And Why You Need One

I’ve been looking at starting a Bullet Journal for ages now. I’d seen other bloggers talking about them and I genuinely had to Google what they were. I was amazed at some of the designs I saw! They all looked so pretty, of course I wanted to join in! I started a board on Pinterest full of little doodles and scripts. So by the time mine arrived I had loads of ideas on what I wanted to do! What Is A Bullet Journal? This is the most common question I’ve been asked, what is a bullet journal? It’s whatever you want it to be really. A planner, a diary or…

    Shuffle Songs Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Ruth of Ruth In Revolt to join in with the Shuffle Songs Tag. I love posts like this where you find out something slightly random about different bloggers. Music is a massive part of my life and there is always something playing in our house so this is probably my favourite tag so far! I put my Spotify favourites on shuffle and this is the first 10 songs it played: Jumpin’ Jumpin’ – Destiny’s Child Wow, takes me back to school! I’m a massive old school Destiny’s Child fan but I can’t stand Beyonce’s current “music” (I use the term loosely). Nine In The Afternoon…

The Road To Going Gluten Free Pt.1

So back in May I accidentally found out what has been wrong with my digestive system since I was a teenager. You can read more about how I found out HERE. The story hasn’t stopped there like I thought it would though. I’m going to start a mini series, keeping a diary of the road to my new gluten free life. A couple of weeks ago I was sent a new shampoo and conditioner to review on my blog and I started using it like any good blogger would. About 4 hours after the first use I had some of the worst gluten reactions I’d had in a long time.…

    Versatile Blogger Award

I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the lovely @FaizaBlogs and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you for the nomination, it means so much to me. Go find out more about her and read her posts here. I’m relatively new to the blogging community over on Twitter but it has proven to be the most amazing experience. Everyone is so supportive and genuinely have everyone elses best interests at heart. To have someone nominate you for something like this feels really special and it’s nice to know other people other than your family actually read your blog! Rules: Thank the person who nominated you with a link to…

    Going Gluten Free at 30(ish)

I’ve always known that something wasn’t right with my digestive system, since as long as I can remember I’ve had issues with diarrhea (sorry TMI) and excessive bloating after eating but I could never quite pinpoint what it was that was causing it. For ages I cut out raw spinach because I read it can trigger IBS…. Turns out it wasn’t that! My niece was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease at just over a year old. She was so ill, it was sad to see but my sister had to put her on a gluten free diet to see if it made her better then put her back on a normal…

    Is Age Just A Number?

“Happy Birthday to me!” Yes, today is my 31st Birthday….. 31….. younger me would have said I am now old. I suppose in a way I am but I don’t really feel old and they do say that age is just a number, is that true though?

February – The Month of (Self)Love

Happy Valentines Day everybody! Now, I’m going to sound quite cynical but, I don’t “do” Valentine’s day. I don’t believe that one day is going to make a difference to a relationship and I think love should be celebrated every day. Love isn’t just tied to relationships either…..

    Life In Pain

Imagine waking up every morning, unable to sit on the toilet or bend over the sink to splash water on your face until you’ve been up and walking about for at least half an hour. As some of you may know, if you follow my Instagram, I’ve spent the last week in hospital due to herniated discs in my spine. This is a more personal post than usual but I thought I’d share what’s been happening in the hope it will help people understand what it’s like to live with chronic pain and hopefully sharing the experience will help someone else feel less alone with what they’re going through.
