Overnight Cake In A Jar – Toffee Apple
Overnight Cake In a Jar is a different take on Overnight Oats. If you don’t know what overnight oats are then, you have clearly never dieted! The idea is to layer oats, yoghurt and fruit (fresh or frozen) and leave it in the fridge overnight. I have never layered mine though as the oats are usually still chewy. I’m a mix and top kinda gal. Overnight Cake In A Jar is the same concept but with a slight twist. It doesn’t use oats and you can layer it without worrying about chewy oats. As you may be aware, I am gluten free so I have to be careful with cereals.…

Caramel Apple Baked Oats
Caramel Apple Baked Oats are the perfect autumnal breakfast. Filling and tasty too. I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a million times, I love baked oats! I did go off of them for a while as I was eating them so often. Now though, I’m back on them, just not as often. I decided to go seasonal with them today as it is caramel apple season! I forgot how much I liked cooked apple too, there’s something really homely about it and it just reminds me of apple pie. These Caramel Apple Baked Oats were so tasty and a nice way to sneak a bit of fruit in first…

Black Forest Baked Oats
Baked Oats are an old favourite of mine. Mainly because you can play with the flavours of them so easily. Black Forest Baked oats are definitely in my top 3 favourites. It reminds me of being little, though it doesn’t quite beat a proper gateaux. I went off them for a long time because I ate them so often. I don’t tend to have the time to make them as often these days though. Which means they’re actually a treat. I use Gluten Free oats to make mine but what oats you use makes no difference (if you’re not gluten free). Just as long as it’s not Ready Brek! I…

Vanilla and Toasted Marshmallow Baked Oats
Baked oats were my staple breakfast once upon a time. They always taste pretty good with whatever combination you come up with. This Vanilla & Toasted Marshmallow recipe is a pretty simple one. It tastes great though! Nothing can beat toasted marshmallows for breakfast though. You can find another couple of variations of Baked Oats by clicking HERE or HERE. I use gluten free oats for mine but you can use any you have in the cupboard if you don’t have to worry about intolerance’s.

McDonald’s Style Egg In A Cup
This McDonald’s style egg in a cup trick is probably the easiest and quickest way to cook an egg! It looks like a Maccy D’s breakfast muffin egg but it is far healthier and tastes better too (in my opinion anyway). This has become a breakfast staple in our house just because they are so quick. They make the perfect weekend breakfast. I have recently found you can purchase a microwave egg poacher that does the same thing. It’s probably more faff than doing it this way though. Even though it cooks two eggs at a time they don’t cook evenly. Also, getting them out of the pot is more…

Eggy Breakfast Muffins
Eggy Breakfast Muffins are great for so many reasons! They are so simple to make and they are great for using up leftover veg and old eggs. You can put anything you want in them and eat them hot or cold so great for days when you need something quick. As long as you made them the night before that is. They’re naturally Gluten Free and pretty filling. They’re basically just mini omelettes, muffin style! You can of course make them dairy free by using an alternative milk and vegetarian too. This recipe makes 6 muffins so I usually have 3 at a time. That seems like a reasonable portion…

Chocolate Orange Baked Oats
Baked oats are so versatile, you can make them any flavour by simply changing the yoghurt and what you put in it. I’ve tried loads in my time but these are one of my favourites.

Melt In The Middle Baked Oats
Baked oats have got to be one of my favourite breakfasts. I ate them a bit too often at one point and got a bit sick of them but after a short break, I’m now loving them again. They’re not a breakfast you can make if you’re in a rush as they take a while to cook but you can always make them the night before. They’re so versatile, you can experiment with different flavour combinations by simply changing the flavour of the yoghurt or other fillings. I have quite a few different variations on my blog these days. A couple of my other favourites are Caramel Apple and Lemon Drizzle. Here’s my…
