What Is Wicca? A Quick Guide From A New Witch

What is Wicca? The quick answer is modern day witchcraft but the long answer is far more complex. It’s a religion first off. From one of the oldest at that: Paganism. Though Wicca is a relatively new thing (1930s), Paganism pre-dates Christianity. Many traditions we have today actually come from from Pagan/Wiccan traditions. Have you ever thought why you have a tree in your house at Yule Time? Easter eggs? Or carving pumpkins at Halloween? Just Halloween as a holiday full stop? Yep, they’re all traditions from this religion. Wiccan’s worship, or work with two main figures; a female Goddess and a male God. They don’t have a particular form…

    Back From A Blogging Break!

Happy 2021 everybody! Yes, this is the first time I’ve done any blogging this year. I’d say I had writer’s block but I don’t think I really did. In all honesty, I was just sick of blogging and everything that goes along with it. Sounds dramatic, I know. There is so much more to blogging than just writing though. It’s life consuming and with the way life has been over the last year I just didn’t have the energy to put into it. What I’ve realised though is, I do miss it. I have had so much going on during Covid. I’m actually quite proud of what I’ve achieved! Three…

CBD And Me – Herbaleyes Flowers Review

As you may have seen on Instagram I’ve been using a different type of CBD lately. I tried using the drops which I posted about here. Though they take the edge off, they’re not enough relief for my condition. I got into contact with Herbaleyes about what could possibly work for me. Stuart has been AMAZING in helping me and I’ve been lucky enough to try a few different things now. The main thing I’ve been using is Herbaleyes Flowers. Now, these won’t be for everyone but I wanted to stop some of the stigma around it. To anyone looking at these, you will see cannabis. It looks the same,…

Sea Safety – 5 Things To Know Before Heading To The Beach

Living so close to the sea, nothing fills me with dread more than the sound of a helicopter. During the summer, this sound over my house usually signifies that something bad is happening in the sea. Sea safety is fundamental and I don’t understand why it is not taught in schools. Not just by the coast but across the country. I’ve always lived near the sea. I moved up the coast for a few years but that’s as far as I’ve gone. Growing up, I have memories of being taught about the dangers of the sea. Don’t get me wrong, I have done some of the things I’m going to…

Sugar & Sloth Tiny Party Club Subscription Box

Well, a few posts ago I told you guys I was ending my Glossybox subscription and had signed up to something completely different! Well, this is it. I am now a member of the Sugar & Sloth Tiny Party Club! For someone who wears a lot of black, I absolutely love the Japanese culture of Kawaii. Which literally means “cute”, “lovely” or “adorable”. I have always been a big fan of Japanese culture and it’s the one place I have on my travel bucket list. I’m not really fussed about anywhere else! I discovered Sugar & Sloth on Instagram a few months ago and instantly fell in love with the…

    Femme Luxe Loungewear Review

I was lucky enough to be sent some gifted items from Femme Luxe in order to do a review! I love doing things like this as it’s not something I’d usually buy myself (I’m a leggings kind of girl on off days anyway!). During lock down I’ve definitely found myself wearing my comfies more often, as have a lot of people I’m sure. Loungewear has grown in popularity over the last couple of years. It’s more stylish than plain ol’ pyjamas, comfier than overstretched leggings and you can actually leave the house in it without being judged in the supermarket or at the school gate! When Femme Luxe asked to…

5 Truths About Living With A Gamer

If you already live with a gamer then this post is not for you. You will already know these 5 truths about living with a gamer! Though this might still give you a giggle as you’ll relate to it! If you’re a gamer yourself…. Maybe read this to understand why we get a bit miffed at times. Everyone needs a hobby and honestly, I’m glad my OH has finally bought an Xbox One. He sold his just before our son was born because quite honestly, it was a very expensive ornament gathering dust when we needed the money. He didn’t have time to play it due to his job and…

CBD And Me – Herts Hemp CBD Oil

My Instagram feed has mentioned CBD quite a lot recently. I was using it in vape form before lock down happened and then due to that, I couldn’t get any juice from my normal supplier. I didn’t actually realise quite how much it was doing for me though. My pain flare ups have increased quite considerably since we went into lock down unfortunately. I was looking at some different options when the lovely people at Herts Hemp offered me a trial of their CBD oil. Disclaimer – Herts Hemp gifted me their products, all thoughts and feelings are my own and in no way influenced by the company. I’ve tried…

How Joint Hypermobility Syndrome Affects Me

I had a bad pain flare a couple of days ago and it made me realise that no many people around me really understand what’s going on. I get pains for a number of reasons; usually my back. So when I say “everything hurts” they don’t get why. My Mum doesn’t even know the in’s and out’s of my condition so I thought I’d write a post about how Joint Hypermobility Syndrome affects me and what it actually is. Hypermobility is quite common. 1 in 10 people have hypermobile joints or are “double jointed”. Just because you have hypermobile joints doesn’t mean you’ll develop Hypermobility Syndrome. This is much rarer…

5 New Things To Learn While In Lock Down

Another week has past. Does anyone know what day we’re currently on? Thanks to Covid-19 I’m actually more confused than the weird week between Christmas and New Year! We’re still in lock down and I know many people won’t feel the same as me here but…. I’ve had so much time on my hands I’ve actually been doing things I wouldn’t usually have time to do. I decided to compile a short list of 5 new things to learn while in lock down. Fingers crossed it gives someone an idea! I am actually still working 2 days a week at the moment. I work for a care company and though…
