How To Get A Better Night’s Sleep – 5 Top Tips

I suffered quite a bit from insomnia during the summer of 2019. It was horrible! At my worst, I went 3 days with no sleep. I know what triggers mine, it’s a mix of anxiety and pain. Unfortunately it becomes a vicious cycle that’s really hard to break. I go to bed worrying I won’t sleep and then funnily enough… I don’t! I went to a pain management seminar this week and one of the sections was how to get a better night’s sleep. I found it really useful so I thought I’d share some of the tips. Having chronic pain can really interrupt sleep. I know from my personal…

How To Remove Negativity From Your Life – 5 Top Tips

It seems really difficult to to remain positive with all the negativity we see on a daily basis. I’m not saying everyone should be in some happy bubble of ignorance all of the time. Some people though, just need a little boost of positivity. I’ve written this post to share ways on how to remove negativity from your life. These are tried and tested by myself. I don’t ever remember life being so depressing when I was younger. Every which way you turn these days negativity just smacks you in the face. Which made me realise how much things have changed in the last 10/20 years. I’m nearly 33 so…

No Spend January – The Big Plan

Happy New Year! It’s the time of year where everyone sets their goals for the coming year. I don’t set resolutions as they’re pretty much guaranteed to fail. I don’t want to put pressure on myself to lose weight or stick to a fitness plan. Mr and I have decided to have a “No Spend January” though. Christmas is an expensive time of year and it’s Little Man’s birthday the week before! This means I tend to dip into my savings. That is what they’re there for at the end of the day but I still don’t like going below a certain amount. I like having a buffer just in…

    My New Year Revelation

We’re in that weird, no man’s land of time, between Christmas and New Year. Nobody knows what day it is or what they’re supposed to be doing. It’s given me a chance to think though. I’ve had a New Year Revelation! I started my blog off the back of my Instagram page but it has evolved over the years. I have recently lost love for Instagram though. It’s hard to get decent engagement and without spending 24/7 on the app, it’s almost impossible to build a following. Because of this, I’ve decided that 2020 will be the year I finally use Instagram for what I wanted in the first place.…

A Quick Life Update From Me

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I posted but I’d like to get back to it again. I thought I’d kick it all back off with a quick life update. You may have seen my post about going through a Colposcopy, the 2nd stage of Cervical Cancer screening. Well, I was diagnosed with early stage Cervical Cancer but luckily my 2nd LLETZ procedure came back all clear! Surprisingly, this didn’t actually hit me as hard as I thought it would. I knew that it was caught early enough that it hadn’t had chance to spread. The worst procedure I’d have to go through would be a hysterectomy but I…

Having A Colposcopy – The 2nd Stage Of Cervical Screening

Having a Colposcopy is the second part of this mini series. If you haven’t read Cervical Screening – Why You Need To Go yet then pop over there first and come back to this one. But just to recap: I had my routine Smear, PAP test, Cervical Screen, whatever you want to call it. The tests showed positive for HPV and evidence of abnormal cells. The letter that comes through the post sounds terrifying! Your brain automatically goes “You have cancer!”, though the likelihood is actually relatively small. After doing some googling and talking to some of my friends, I was a lot less worried. For once, Google wasn’t the…

Cervical Screening – Why You Need To Go

You may have seen a couple of weeks ago on Instagram I posted about my Cervical Screening Test. Well I got my results through yesterday and I’ve decided to share it with you all. The reason for this is because I want people to realise just how important it is. Hopefully by sharing my experience it may get someone else to go. And it may even save a life. Less and less women are going for their routine screenings which mean more women are dying from an easily curable cancer. This is going to be a 2 part post but you will find out why further down. So. The Smear,…

London Adventures – A Night At The Piano Works

Recently Mr and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. We’ve only ever been away together once before due to the children. Because of this, we had decided that 5 years is a pretty big milestone and we needed to celebrate it. A night away was needed but staying closer to home would be easier. London it was! Stratford is only an hour and a half’s drive from where we live. We worked out it was cheaper to park at Westfield overnight than getting a train up. That also meant we could just hop on the tube and head into the city without having to drag our overnight bags everywhere. We got…

90’s Nostalgia – The Spice Girls Revolution

I love a bit of 90’s nostalgia so when I was asked to write a post around it couldn’t say no! This is a sponsored post but all words are my own. I may actually start off a whole series around 90’s nostalgia from this. It seems like a perfect time to start writing about this topic though. Is it just me or do you feel like you’ve gone back in time just lately? The cinemas seem to have a constant flow of Disney films and I’ve just bought tickets to see 5ive. It just feels like the 90’s are back, the only problem being, I’m now 32, not 12.…

Getting The Perfect Beach Body In 1 Simple Step

Getting the perfect beach body is so simple! I don’t really understand how more people aren’t promoting this to be honest.
