    My Soft Play Mum Guilt

I will start by saying, a lot of parents will probably hate me for this post. To most, soft play is a hell hole of colourful equipment and screaming children, with bright lighting and terrible coffee. I do actually agree with that but at the same time I have an overwhelming sense of ” Soft Play Mum Guilt”…. Because….. I can’t take my pre-schooler on my own. “Oh boo!” “What an absolute shame!” I hear the parents out there cry. It genuinely does sadden me though. Because of the issues I have with my back and mobility, I just can’t physically do it on my own. (Read more about my back…

This week’s post is written by the lovely Jo from A Rose Tinted World. She writes about parenting, lifestyle and sewing over at her blog http://www.arosetintedworld.co.uk. Go check her out! But that’s enough from me…. Plastic Tat I met one of my oldest friends last week who is also a toddler mum. Invariably, the conversation came around to the Christmas question. What were her two children getting (10 and nearly 4)? ‘Plastic Tat’ was the acidic response. Now, I wasn’t…

The Toddler Years – I Wrote A Post…. Forgot The Title

So this week’s guest writer isn’t actually a blogger at all….. He’s my long suffering other half! Scott and I met nearly 5 years ago and though our darling toddler was sort of planned… He wasn’t meant to come along quite as soon as he did. You can find Scott on Twitter @Jackabyte if you want to mainly read Man United updates. So let’s read about The Toddler Years from Mr Bloggs himself…. I wrote a post…. Forgot the title Our delightful bundle of dictatorship is almost 3. Part of me is impressed I have successfully helped to raise a child this far; I was useless with Tamagotchis! The other…

    The JoJo Hairbrush Review

We’ve all heard of or seen JoJo Bows, even if you have no idea who this JoJo is. Well she’s a dancer, just in case you did wonder. She found fame on the American TV series Dance Mom’s, which is exactly what her mother wanted for her. Got to give it to the kid though, she’s done well! Children across the country went mad for JoJo Bows when they were first released and my daughter was no different. She has a couple of different sized ones and they are still worn regularly. You can imagine her excitement when I revealed the new double sided brush I had been sent! We…

The Toddler Years – A Series Of Tales And Tantrums

Everyone says having a newborn is hard; sleep deprivation, feeding every 3 hours…. These people have not had a toddler yet! Yes ok, doing night feeds takes its toll, for some it lasts ages, for others it takes a couple of months. But babies do nothing! They eat, they sleep, they shit… Repeat for 24 hours. Toddler parents are a whole different level of tired. A lucky few will have a toddler that sleeps through every night but this does not mean the parent is any less tired. Have you ever wanted to go to bed at 7pm because you’re mentally exhausted? Have you ever drunk that much caffeine you’ve…

    Is Age Just A Number?

“Happy Birthday to me!” Yes, today is my 31st Birthday….. 31….. younger me would have said I am now old. I suppose in a way I am but I don’t really feel old and they do say that age is just a number, is that true though?

    That Weird Week

Another year is nearly over and we’re currently in that weird week between Christmas and New Year where you don’t really know what to do with yourself or what day it even is. I’m failing miserably at getting back on the Slimming bandwagon but desperate to get back on the yoga train as I literally hurt everywhere! I think the food side I can slowly work on as I clear the crap food from the house and start to refill my fruit bowl with actual fruit instead of chocolate oranges and the pile of sweets that it is currently housing. The exercise part is going to start again today though;…
