Taco Salad Bowl – With Edible Bowl!
It’s summer which can only mean one thing…. Salad season! I would honestly eat salad and rice every day when it’s hot. A Taco Salad Bowl is probably my favourite way of having salad though and my 4 year old is now requesting it every week! Only issue is, he doesn’t eat salad. We do manage to get him to eat some bits though. I think the main fascination with the Taco Salad Bowl is the fact you can eat the bowl!! It is definitely the best part. Though if you destroy it too early, the salad spills everywhere. Mr and I have learnt to leave it whole until you’re…

Gluten Free IKEA Style Meatballs With Creamy Sauce
I think I only got to have IKEA’s famous Swedish Meatballs once before I realised I was gluten intolerant so I don’t really have much to compare them to. I’ve been wanting to try this recipe for ages though and typically, during this lock down, IKEA actually released the recipe for their infamous meatballs! They’re not gluten free though so I’ve still played around and adapted the recipe to suit me. So here it is, my Gluten Free IKEA Style Meatballs recipe! Complete with the creamy gravy sauce. You can make this recipe dairy free too by using alternative yoghurt and butter. It can literally be made to suit any…

Sausage Casserole – Oven And Slow Cooker Method
Sometimes all we want for dinner is something warm and comforting. One of my favourite things before going gluten free was Schwartz Sausage Casserole. Unfortunately the main ingredient in their packet mix is wheat. Because of this, I decided to recreate it in a way I could actually eat. Of course, to make it gluten free, you need to make sure the sausages are safe. I highly recommend Aldi for their range of sausages that are all certified gluten free. And if you are a dieter then they also have a great range for you too! They do low fat pork chipolatas and really tasty chicken ones too! By the…

Minced Beef Hotpot & Samuel Groves Cookware Review
There’s something really comforting about an easy one-pot dinner. This Minced Beef Hotpot recipe is just that! When Samuel Groves kindly asked me to review one of their pans I had to choose their casserole pan! The best things about Samuel Groves pans is the fact you can go from hob to oven without having to switch cookware. I was sent the 20cm Stainless Steel Casserole Pan & Lid from their Classic Range. I decided this Minced Beef Hotpot would be the perfect recipe to try the pan out and I wasn’t wrong! It comes packaged in a Samuel Groves named box and inside that was a natural hessian bag.…

Cheats Mac and Cheese – Chef Parmalat Cooking Cream Review
I have created this Cheats Mac and Cheese recipe after being asked to review Chef Parmalat UHT cooking cream. I was gifted the product and all opinions are my own and not that of the company. Italian food is mt favourite and even more so when it’s been tinkered with by the Americans! There’s just something comforting about a bowl full of creamy carbs. When Ciao Gusto asked me to come up with a recipe using one of their many products I couldn’t say no! I had a look at the multitude of different products available and I knew exactly what I was going to make… Cheats Mac and Cheese!…

Roasted Herby Chicken With Sundried Tomato Pasta
We love a good pasta dish in our house. Mainly because it’s one of the only things the toddler will eat. I’m always trying out different flavour combinations but I don’t always remember to write them down. This Roasted Herby Chicken With Sundried Tomato Pasta I did! This recipe came about as I was trying to use up some Sundried Tomatoes that I had in my fridge. A lot of my recipes come about from me trying to use up leftovers. It’s not crazy if it works! I just love being experimental in the kitchen which is a far throw from what I used to be like! My idea of…

Easy Peasy Spaghetti Bolognese
Spaghetti Bolognese is a family classic and everyone has their own way of doing it. I love mine filled with veg and because it’s chopped up quite small even the toddler eats it without much fuss. Easy Peasy Spaghetti Bolognese really is just that though. Once upon a time my Bolognese would have been made with sauce from a jar. This way is just as easy though and far healthier! There’s no added salt and there’s so much veg in it. I have my Easy Peasy Spaghetti Bolognese with gluten free pasta and the Bolognese is naturally gluten free. I also enjoy having it with courgetti (spiralised courgette) that’s been…

Slow Cooker Herby Chicken
Slow Cooker Herby Chicken was a complete experiment that turned out to be one of those much loved recipes! I love my slow cooker and not just during the winter. I decided to have a look through my recipe books to create some new recipes to do in it. This is quite simple but really tasty and makes life so much easier on the days I have work. All I need to do is cook some pasta and serve it up. You could have it with anything though as it’s almost a casserole type dish.

Cottage Pie
Cottage Pie is a proper British classic! You just can’t beat comfort food at this time of the year. There’s nothing better than snuggling up after a dinner full of carby, meaty, gravy covered goodness. Do you know the difference between your Shepherd’s and your Cottage though? So many people don’t, I was quite surprised. For those of your who don’t; It’s down to your meat. Shepherds look after sheep so that’s lamb mince…. Don’t ask me why Cottage is beef though! This dinner takes me back to being a child as it was one of my mum’s favourite, easy meals. My recipe is slightly different to my mum’s one…

Chicken and Chorizo Paella
Chicken and chorizo paella is such a tasty dish and because it’s all done in one pan it means less washing up! I feel like this is the perfect dish for any time of the year. It’s great in the summer as it just reminds me of Spain but it’s also warming in the winter. The cold leftovers also taste amazing! Not that there’s ever much left over in our house!
