    September 18 Glossybox Review

I can’t believe we’re at the end of September already! Where is this year going? September is of course “back to school” month so the September 18 Glossybox theme follows that. The items are handbag and beauty essentials that can help you get back on track and into the school run routine again. I really like this month’s box, it was nice to have such a mix of products. Here’s what was in it: We’ll go left to right this month and start with… Grow Gorgeous – Scalp Detox We’re actually starting with the product I like the least. It’s like a scrub for your scalp, designed to remove impurities…

A Pony Called What? – Product Review

Am I the only person that still has smellies left over from Christmas? Over 8 months later and I still have a few but I’m a little sick of smelling like my Nan’s favourite flowery scent. Again, is that just me that ends up with “lavender” or “white lily”? Don’t get me wrong, I love lilies, they’re my favourite flower but have you ever really smelt one? If I have fresh ones in the house I spend a good day or so wondering who’s done a wee in the kitchen! Old fashioned smells are something of the past now though. I have swapped out a couple of my current products…

August Empties 2018 – What I’ve Used Up This Month

I’ve seen many a beauty blogger doing these types of posts. I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and post about the products I’ve finished off this month. I am not the biggest user of beauty products; I am very lazy (which you can read about HERE). That also means this won’t be a regular thing unfortunately. It takes me a while to use products up as I don’t tend to stick to the same ones day in day out. But anyway, back to this month and my August empties! This month I have come to the end of 5 different products. This post is basically a run-down of what the…

    August Glossybox ’18 Review

It’s that time of the month again: The August Glossybox time! I’ve managed to get through the products quite quickly this month. The main reason being, it was mainly makeup and the 2nd reason being, I didn’t try some of it. So the theme this month was ‘Pride’. It was of course Brighton Pride this month and I think it was a great theme for this month’s Glossybox. The special edition box looked great! The multicolour, paint splashed, rainbow lid looks beautiful. The inside looks just as good with the rainbow dots on the ribbon. Everything about the theme was fantastic, it’s a shame about some of the products. Let’s…

    XO Balm Review

I was asked to trial XO Balm as I get patches of dry skin on my arms and legs at times. I use moisturiser pretty religiously after a shower or bath in order to stop them from getting too bad. So when I got offered the chance to try a multi-use, natural balm of course I jumped at it. Natural products are a big thing for me these days; shampoo, soaps, you name it, I’ll try it! I just feel like it’s nicer to know what you’re putting on your skin and hair rather than using something with a million ingredients that you can’t read. Yes they are slightly more…

    Uber Sonic – Toothbrush Review

Uber Sonic aren’t a brand I’d ever heard of before. Let’s face it though, unless it’s made by Colgate or Braun, I’m not going to know of any other electric toothbrush makes as they’re not constantly shoved in your face. Still, I jumped at the chance to give this a go as I actually still lived in the dark ages and had a manual toothbrush! Uber Sonic promote themselves as the iPhone of the toothbrush world as the body is made from lightweight brushed aluminium, the same as the phones. It looks really modern and is indeed lightweight and comfortable to hold. The interchangeable plastic heads are a little wider…

    July 18 Glossybox Review

It’s that time again, another Glossybox review! We’re now over halfway through the year, seriously, where has time gone?? We’ve had one of the hottest July’s on record and it has been glorious! But because of this, I have decided I’m going to go live in the sea and become a mermaid… This month’s Glossybox will help me do just that! The Beach theme for this month’s box is spot on! The box itself is absolutely beautiful with its ocean colours and reflective water look. Unfortunately my box was a little worse for wear in one corner but I think I managed to disguise it for photos. The contents this…

    Ecosoapia – Natural Soap Review

I’m really loving natural products at the moment. I’ve tried body creams and the loveliest shampoo and conditioner combo which you can read about HERE, among other things. It’s just nice to use products that don’t contain any nasty ingredients that you can’t read the names of! It’s better for your skin and for the environment. I was sent a bottle of Ecosoapia to try and the first thing you notice about it is the label. Just WOW! It was designed by David Smith who is regarded as the best calligrapher in the world and you can see why! The detail that has gone into the design is just incredible…

    Homemade Salt Scrub

I was lucky enough to be gifted the most amazing Himalayan Pink salt at the end of last month from Monsoon Season. I’ve been using it loads in my cooking and I’m absolutely in love with it! It brings out the flavours of my dishes so well just from the smallest pinch. I actually called it “the saltiest salt I’ve ever had”. Well last night I decided to try out one of its other uses and make a Salt Scrub. I never realised how easy they are to make and I actually had the ingredients lying around the house! All you need is: A small jar with a lid 6…
